Chapter 1

Our Story

Every neighbourhood has a shop that quietly becomes part of family life. On Ellora Park Road in Vadodara, that shop is POOJA BOOK SHOP — the place where children pick up their very first ABC book, teenagers collect their board-exam textbooks, and grandparents find the Gujarati classics they grew up with.

We started with a simple idea: a student should be able to walk in with a school list and walk out with everything on it, without running from shop to shop. Over the years that idea grew into shelves full of school books, reading books, gift books and stationery — but the heart of it hasn't changed. We still know our customers by name, we still help find the right edition, and we still love the moment someone opens a new book.

What We Offer

Think of our shop as four books on one shelf:

  • School Books — GSEB, CBSE and NCERT textbooks, Navneet digests, guides, workbooks and pre-primary writing books, in Gujarati and English medium.
  • Reading Books — novels, story books, self-help, biographies, religious books, and a cherished collection of Gujarati & Hindi literature.
  • Gift Books — illustrated editions, coffee table books, journals, diaries and scrapbooks for birthdays, weddings and festivals.
  • Stationery — pens, pencils, notebooks, geometry boxes, art & craft supplies, school bags and office stationery from brands like Classmate, Camlin, Apsara, Doms, Faber-Castell, Cello and Reynolds.

We serve students and parents, teachers and schools, readers of every age, and offices that need their supplies on time. If something isn't on the shelf, just ask — we'll do our best to order it for you.
